Aviation Composite Engineer

Location:Stansted UK

Salary:(DOE)
Hours: Full time

Chevronis proud to partner with a leading aviation engineering provider to find a highly skilledComposite Engineer for their growing team.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for carrying out composite repair and manufacturing work on a variety of aircraft components and structures. Working within a fast-paced MRO environment you will ensure all work is completed to exacting industry standards and in accordance with EASA/CAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on composite aircraft components and assemblies
  • Conduct inspections and assess damage using non-destructive methods and visual analysis
  • Manufacture and fit composite components using pre-preg wet lay-up or vacuum bagging techniques
  • Prepare detailed documentation and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
  • Liaise with engineering planning and quality teams to support efficient workflow
  • Operate in accordance with safety protocols engineering drawings and OEM specifications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of shop procedures and repair techniques

Requirements:

  • Proven experience incomposite repair and manufacturingwithin theaviation/aerospaceindustry
  • Understanding ofEASA/CAA regulationsand composite repair standards
  • Proficient in working with a range of composite materials including carbon fibre glass fibre and aramid
  • Familiarity withtechnical drawings manuals and repair documentation
  • A strong eye for detail manual dexterity and quality-first approach
  • Relevant training or certification in composite technologies (desirable)
