Location: In office at any Siemens office - Oakville Ajax or Montreal. Will be 5 days a week in office at the start
Hours per week: 40 Monday - Friday
Max T4 Rate: $43.26/
Max INC Rate: $55/
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Rolling Stock Buyer to join our procurement team specializing in the purchasing of rolling stock materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials from approved rolling stock vendors ensuring alignment with project specifications and delivery requirements. Support sourcing activities by obtaining quotes and evaluating supplier capabilities.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Create process and manage purchase orders in SAP for spare parts and tooling.
Ensure accuracy of order details including pricing delivery dates and supplier information.
Collaborate with engineering project management and logistics teams to align procurement activities with project timelines.
Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Resolve discrepancies related to invoices deliveries and purchase orders.
Maintain and update supplier records and material master data in SAP.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role
Proficiency in SAP (MM module) is required.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
