Job Description

Our client a growing and dynamic engineering and construction firm is seeking expertise for the province of Ontario for a substations construction expert. You will currently reside and work in the province of Ontario (open to any location) and have expertise in 309A Construction and maintenance Electrician designation. This is a must without exceptions.

Reporting to the Regional Director your qualifications and duties will include but not be limited to;

PMI certification & 15 yrs of substation construction experience
10 yrs leadership experience and extensive and broad high voltage construction experience
Advanced level of substation construction execution and planning along with strong knowledge of the Ontario electrical code and regulations
General knowledge of provincial networks across Eastern Canada
Superior construction execution planning skills and the ability to coach and mentor field staff
Develop technical and strategic project delivery plans and provide technical assistance mentoring and coaching to all field staff
Support the proposals team by developing construction execution plans and perform site visits to assess construction results and practices to ensure they are following the required standards
Attend and contribute to regular meetings including project kickoffs reviews and weekly tactical meetings
Work with PMs Field Supervisors and others to scope and plan construction priorities
Perform resource planning/ensuring all projects are properly resourced with correct staffing levels and technical competencies
Review all grounding plans GOIs and scope of work with teams
Ensure all staff have an accurate understanding of projects
Assist with the resolution and closeout of non-compliance / deficiency reports
