Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant group in Franschhoek. This role offers the opportunity to support the Executive Chef in running a high-end kitchen and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Lead and supervise kitchen staff ensuring efficiency and high standards
Maintain consistency in dish quality presentation and flavour across all menu items
Support menu planning development and seasonal specials
Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene and health regulations
Manage stock ordering and cost control within the kitchen
Train and mentor junior chefs fostering a positive and professional working environment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in fine dining or luxury hospitality
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail and creativity
Knowledge of kitchen operations stock management and food costing
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
A proactive attitude with a commitment to excellence
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
