Our client based in Montague Gardens is urgently looking for a Distribution Manager to join their team.
The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of finished goods to Local and Export Customers Branches and Agents is executed on time and in full (OTIF).Oversee all distribution functions and workflows to ensure they are performed accurately efficiently and timeously in alignment with business and customer requirements.
Key performance areas and indicators:
- POD and Route Administration
- Budget and Cost Efficiency
- Fleet Maintenance and Compliance
- Waybill and Delivery Accuracy
- Managerial Backup
- OTIF
- Loading of FGDS for Branch/Agents
- Loading of Local Delivery Fleet
- Stock Accuracy and Control
- Stock taking and Inventory Management
- Staff Management and Development
Requirements
- Matric Certificate required
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics Supply Chain or Operations Management is advantageous
- 3 6 years experience in a manufacturing or logistics/distribution environment
- Experience working in a global multinational company is preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse dispatch and transport processes.
- Ability to use route planning courier and fleet systems effectively.
- Proficient in compiling operational reports and analyzing discrepancies.
- Understanding of fleet compliance POD administration and third-party logistics.
