The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Infrastructure Locator Crew Chief - Line Maintenance. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks mowers a variety of power and hand tools to accurately locate and mark City owned infrastructure to include but not limited to: water sewer storm sewer traffic control devices electric lines and fiber optic lines. Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED with particular emphasis during high school in office skills shop skills or others plus 2 years related experience and/or training and 18 months related management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class D drivers license and be insurable. Must possess ODEQ Class C Water and Wastewater certifications. Previous experience in infrastructure location field preferred. Work is skilled in nature with the employee performing a variety of complex tasks. About half of the work is semi-routine following established procedures but a large portion requires initiative and independent judgment about the methods by which a task is to be performed. Employee is on 24-hour call (carries cell phone on a rotating basis). This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening. Starting Salary: $22.2735 /HR w/Benefits.
