The Clinical Supervisor I is a licensed health care professional or clinician who oversees and mentors less experienced clinical staff assigns work maintains schedules and assists the Practice Manager and other leadership in the implementation of policies workflows and processes.
Responsibilities- Oversees clinical staff in assigned area and assists department management in implementation of day to day activities and processes.
- Responsible for training staff on clinical office protocols and techniques.
- Responsible for documentation and maintaining patient immunization records Coumadin registry administering vaccines/injectables and other related clinical duties.
- Assists providers with patient education.
- Assesses new staffs clinical office protocols (i.e. vitals phlebotomy) prior to probationary performance appraisal.
- Assists management with triaging stocking supplies reordering clinical supplies etc. as needed.
- Assists management with annual competencies and performance appraisals.
- Verifies that all quality improvement protocols are being complied with.
- Assists management with improving workflows and processes.
- Resolves patient/family issues in the absence of the Practice Manager.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications- 2 years in a medical office setting with some management or supervisory experience preferred. eClinical Works or EPIC experience an additional plus.
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $65193.00 - $97790.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
