Were seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist who is dedicated to providing high-quality preventive care and creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oral prophylaxis.
- Provide instruction on proper home care techniques including tooth brushing flossing nutrition and the importance of professional care.
- Apply topical fluorides.
- Screen and evaluate patients for caries detection.
- Evaluate patients for periodontal pathology and review medical histories.
- Expose process and mount radiographs following ALARA guidelines.
- Perform supra- and subgingival scaling and curettage.
- Conduct root planing.
- Assist with periodontal surgical procedures as part of the dental team.
- Administer local anesthetics (as permitted by licensure).
- Perform gross debridement in cases of acute periodontal conditions.
- Help train dental employees in basic dental skills radiographs sterilization and assisting techniques.
- Maintain patient recall system.
- Manage inventory of hygiene supplies and materials with accurate documentation.
Education and Requirements
- State of Colorado Licensure of Dental Hygiene
- Associateor Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene
- 1-2 years experience working in a dental clinic environment desired.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug testing
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) desirable but not required
Valley-Wide is an approved site with the Colorado Health Service Corps and National Health Service Corps loan repayment programs. Providers are eligible to apply and may be awarded up to $90000.00 for providing care in our rural communities.
