AbbVie Canada is looking to connect with Pricing Manager talents to join our Market Access team. The incumbent will report to the Head of Strategic Pricing and Contracting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build price strategies to achieve optimal revenues throughout the pipeline launch and marketed product portfolios
- Co-develop pricing models negotiation plans and contracting strategies in a matrix environment within AbbVie leading to strategic pricing recommendations that are aligned with Global and local price guidance and approval process.
- Manage internal price approval and Global governance processes across AbbVie product portfolio. Works closely with Global Pricing Team to ensure alignment with Global price guidance and business case development.
- Lead AbbVie PMPRB reporting obligations for reportable products and manage any investigations as required
- Developing and leveraging robust data-driven business cases for pricing recommendation and/or approval. This includes vigilance on movements of competitor pricing and pricing regulations to ensure AbbVie is competitively positioned while ensuring internally and externally compliant pricing practices.
- Manage and lead the review of contracts and PLAs while ensuring compliance to AbbVie policies and legal guidelines.
- Tracking federal provincial and payers pricing policies impacting the pharmaceutical industry and ensuring appropriate internal awareness with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the operationalization of internal pricing guidance policies and procedures specific to AbbVie. This includes AbbVie Global and Area internal reporting obligations processes.
- Establishing and nurturing positive working relationships with our internal functions and AbbVie Global and Area offices.
Qualifications :
Education requirements:
- University degree in Health Sciences Business or Finance; graduate studies in one or more of these fields is an asset
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should have between 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position and/or expertise in market access with pertinent experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of PMPRB Regulations and Guidelines
- Understands Pricing & Reimbursement/ Health Technology Assessment requirements and how they intersect to impact pricing assumptions.
- Understands the role of industry associations pricing policies and PMRPB reform.
- Additional commercial/ business background an asset
Skills required:
- Strong strategic & analytical thinking: ability to understand synthetize and communicate complex concepts and outcomes and build associated executive reports & presentations
- Proven ability to work within a cross-functional team and within a large organization
- Crafts high quality concise written and oral communications that emphasizes key points and ideas to connect with stakeholders
- Can work independently and autonomously detailed oriented resilient well organized strong multi-tasking and project management skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving customer needs/demands within a changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to manage conflict constructively.
- Strong communicator with presentations skills. Bilingual candidates preferred
Knowledge required:
- Experience in analytics/business insights
- Proficiency with SAP IQVIA analytic tools MS Office Suite and applications
- Ability to develop or adapt Excel-based models using various data inputs (both structured and unstructured).
