Hours: 37.5 per week
Status: Temporary Full-Time 12 months with possibility of extension

Position Summary

UHN is undertaking the transformational redevelopment of its primary digital presence to reflect our commitment to patient-first care innovation and excellence. Reporting to the Manager Website Transformation on the Communications and Brand Strategy team and working closely with the Coordinator Website Transformation and Project Manager the Advisor Website Transformation will play a key strategic support role in the successful reimagining and re-platforming of through March 2029. This role will contribute subject-matter expertise in digital communications content strategy accessibility and user experience while helping to ensure alignment with UHNs enterprise priorities. The Advisor will lead content development coordination and intake processes support stakeholder engagement and contribute to the development of guiding principles information architecture and governance models. They will also assist in the creation of content collaborate across working groups and help ensure consistency clarity and accessibility in all digital content. This role is ideal for a communications professional with experience in digital strategy health communications or web content development who is eager to contribute to a high-impact digital transformation initiative in health care.

Duties

  • Advisory Support
    • Support the core project team in shaping user-centered design strategies and ensuring patient-first digital experiences. 
    • Provide insights and recommendations on modern web design usability content organization and digital accessibility. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration 
    • Work closely with the Manager Project Manager and cross-functional teams to support stakeholder engagement documentation and project coordination. 
    • Represent Communications in relevant working groups contributing subject-matter expertise and supporting alignment with digital engagement protocols. 
    • Play an active role as project ambassador to support department and enterprise change management. 
    • Assist in preparing teams for the transition to the new platform by contributing to communications training materials and stakeholder engagement strategies. 
  • Content Coordination and Intake 
    • Manage intake organization and review of web content from internal stakeholders ensuring consistency with guiding principles and accessibility standards. 
    • Contribute to content governance and assist in developing and applying content standards tone and style guidelines to ensure clarity consistency and alignment with UHNs brand. 
    • Support project documentation by tracking decisions feedback and progress across workstreams ensuring accurate and timely documentation to support transparency and accountability. 
  • Website Accessibility and Standardization 
    • Participate in QA testing including reviewing draft web pages testing links providing feedback on layout clarity and navigation and flagging inconsistencies. 
    • Ensure accessibility and compliance help apply AODA and other accessibility standards to all content and page designs ensuring inclusivity and usability. 
    • Support the team in ensuring alignment with UHN brand standards and website style guides. 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Digital Strategy UX Design Communications Marketing or a related field. 
  • 3-5 experience in digital communications web content strategy or website redevelopment projects preferably in a complex or health care environment. 
  • Strong understanding of web content strategy user experience (UX) and information architecture principles. 
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) digital asset management and web accessibility standards (e.g. AODA). 
  • Experience using Google Analytics or other web analytics tools to inform content decisions and user experience improvements. 
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear user-friendly content. 
  • Ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders across departments. 
  • Demonstrated initiative adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
