Job Summary
As Bar & Lounge Manager youll take the lead in overseeing all aspects of Altus Rooftop Bar & Lounge from service delivery to team performance product innovation and guest engagement. Youll be the face of the venue a confident charismatic leader with a deep passion for hospitality an impeccable eye for detail and a commitment to delivering world-class experiences in every glass and interaction.
You will lead a talented team of mixologists hosts and service professionals inspiring them to bring creativity warmth and excellence to every shift. From curating seasonal cocktail menus to hosting exclusive events this is a unique opportunity to elevate one of Melbournes premier rooftop venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations at Altus Rooftop Bar & Lounge ensuring seamless luxurious service and an exceptional guest journey
- Mentor train and develop a passionate team of bar and floor staff fostering a culture of excellence elegance and engagement
- Maintain a deep knowledge of wine spirits cocktails and food pairings with the ability to inspire guests and staff alike
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B leaders to design innovative menus signature drinks and seasonal offerings
- Ensure the atmosphere ambience and service standards consistently reflect the sophistication and uniqueness of the MGallery brand
- Manage labour costs beverage stock supplier relationships and compliance with RSA and food safety standards
- Drive revenue through strategic promotions upselling initiatives and events that attract both in-house guests and external clientele
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care turning challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in leading premium or luxury bar/lounge operations ideally within a hotel or high-end venue
- A polished professional presence with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in mixology wine and beverage service with a flair for curating unforgettable guest experiences
- Passion for team development with the ability to inspire mentor and elevate performance
- Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting forecasting and driving venue profitability
- A calm and composed approach even in high-pressure fast-paced environments
- A creative detail-oriented mindset and a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality space
