Job Description

At Network Aviation were incredibly proud of our West Australian heritage. Since 1998 weve been providing air charter services to destinations throughout WA and beyond. Weve grown in this time and in 2011 became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group.  

This role is part of a team within the Flight Operations department working closely with Network Aviation Flight Crew and Flight Operation Managers.

Your new position as Base Support Officer you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the administrative functions of a flight crew base to assist with driving a high performing culture and an engaged workforce. You will also be the key support to the Manager in ensuring an efficient operation with a continuous improvement philosophy.

Other core functions of this role will see you coordinating flight crew in regards to leave and attendance management crew rostering system accessing our safety reporting system and payroll/leave management. You will draw upon your wealth of administration knowledge and sound judgement to make effective decisions often with limited or no consultation or escalation to the Manager.

Youll have

  • Strong interest in the aviation industry
  • Previous experience in understanding of Industrial Awards and Agreements to investigate and solve flight crew related matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills to consult and liaise with key stakeholders
  • High level of computer competency and proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint with an ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to work through a number of conflicting priorities and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality exercising discretion and tact at all times
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivation and the strive to excel in a past paced team environment
