Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to support a large-scale road reinstatement project involving approximately 100 kilometers of existing road. The role requires processing grader-generated data producing accurate as-built drawings and ensuring conformity with design specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data handling drafting and preparation of survey-based documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Processing
- Receive subgrade and final surface level (FSL) data files generated by graders.
- Overlay clean and reduce data from TP3 (Topcon) format files (with conversion to DWG or equivalent if required).
- Organize and process up to 670 files across the project scope.
Drafting & Documentation
- Calculate contours thicknesses and verify pavement alignment against project requirements.
- Draft and produce clear accurate PDF as-built drawings.
- Ensure as-builts demonstrate conforming thickness (150mm) and correct pavement alignment.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with graders survey support and engineers to ensure accuracy of data and documentation.
- Provide timely updates and deliverables to support ongoing road construction activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Draftsperson Survey Draftsperson or similar role in civil/road construction projects.
Proficiency with drafting and survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent).
Ability to process TP3 DWG and related file formats.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation and documentation.
Effective communication and time management skills.

Desirable:

Experience in large-scale road construction or reinstatement projects.
Familiarity with Topcon software and survey data processing.
