Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible within client business hours (8:00 AM 5:00 PM AEST)
Total Weekly Hours: 20 Hours

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts team. This role will focus primarily on Accounts Payable while assisting with related accounting functions. You will work closely with the existing team to ensure the smooth accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.



Responsibilities
  • Process and manage Accounts Payable invoices and payments

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with expense reporting and approvals

  • Support month-end closing activities

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records

  • Provide general assistance to the Accounts team as required



Requirements
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting support

  • Mid-level experience (2 4 years in AP or accounting support)

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Xero MYOB or similar systems is a plus)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proactive organized and able to manage priorities effectively
