Job Summary
JVT a proud member of the NPDL family specialises in delivering reliable efficient transport solutions across New Zealand. With a strong reputation for handling a diverse range of cargo including containerised goods and bulk freight JVT is dedicated to supporting the seamless flow of goods for NPDLs customers. We are now looking for an experienced Class 5 Container Truck Driver to join our team!
Here is what you will be doing:
Safely transporting 20 and 40-foot containers to and from customer sites and depots on time
Predominantly metro work (with some shorthaul and linehaul required from time to time)
Loading/unloading containers efficiently and securely
Conducting pre-start fleet checks
Maintaining accurate documentation around deliveries/pickups (including compliance with logbook entries)
Adhering to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
A current clean Class 5 NZ Drivers Licence
3 years of proven experience operating a container truck (manual preferred)
Knowledge of container handling procedures specifically at ports
Strong focus on health and safety with attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Excellent understating of the NZTA Goods Service and Heavy Vehicle requirements
This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
