We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a precision engineering environment and enjoys the challenge of unique aircraft repair and parts fabrication and one-off toolmaking.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a wide range of machinery including mills lathes vertical turning lathes (VTLs) and CNC machining centres (3-axis and 5-axis)
- Manufacture modify and repair high-precision aerospace components and tooling
- Use SolidWorks and Mastercam software to design and program machining processes for FANUC controllers
- Work independently on aircraft repairs and parts fabrication one-off toolmaking projects applying innovative problem-solving skills to meet complex engineering requirements
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy quality and safety in all machining operations
- Collaborate with engineers technicians and other specialists to ensure timely project delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience operating manual and CNC machines (mills lathes VTLs 3-axis and 5-axis)
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam programming for FANUC-controlled machinery
- Demonstrated ability in one-off toolmaking with strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Aerospace or high-precision machining background preferred but not essential
- Strong commitment to health safety and quality standards.
