Job Summary

Our client is a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Nigeria. Due to expansion they are in need of a Continental Sous Chef.


Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan prepare and supervise the cooking of high-quality continental dishes
  • Ensure consistency in taste presentation and portioning of all menu items.
  • Train mentor and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff on continental cuisine preparation techniques.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning recipe development and cost control.
  • Monitor food quality freshness and storage to maintain compliance with hotel and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitation and HACCP guidelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of fresh and authentic ingredients for continental menus.
  • Manage kitchen operations during service hours ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery.
  • Assist in planning and executing banquet buffet and la carte services focused on continental cuisine.
  • Monitor stock usage reduce waste and optimize food cost efficiency.
  • Support in the creation of seasonal or special event continental menus to enhance guest experience.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts Catering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 3 years culinary experience in continental cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques flavors and plating standards.
