Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan prepare and supervise the cooking of high-quality continental dishes
- Ensure consistency in taste presentation and portioning of all menu items.
- Train mentor and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff on continental cuisine preparation techniques.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning recipe development and cost control.
- Monitor food quality freshness and storage to maintain compliance with hotel and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitation and HACCP guidelines.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of fresh and authentic ingredients for continental menus.
- Manage kitchen operations during service hours ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Assist in planning and executing banquet buffet and la carte services focused on continental cuisine.
- Monitor stock usage reduce waste and optimize food cost efficiency.
- Support in the creation of seasonal or special event continental menus to enhance guest experience.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts Catering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 3 years culinary experience in continental cuisine
- Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques flavors and plating standards.
