Get to Know the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Manager for an onsite role based in Kuala Lumpur reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager. You will lead and inspire a team of engineers to design deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS Azure or this role you will take ownership of the teams technical direction fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
Your focus will be driving automation ensuring best practices in infrastructure management and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. This role requires leadership the ability to plan and prioritize and hands-on technical expertise.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
You will:
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure including architecture design and implementation of cloud-based systems and applications.
- Oversee the deployment scaling and management of cloud resources ensuring high availability scalability and performance.
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies roadmaps and standards to align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and deploy cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure security compliance and governance adhering to industry standards and best practices.
You have:
- 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management with a focus on AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Hands on development experience with any of the coding languages Python Go or Typscript.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms including architecture migration and deployment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Certification in a cloud platform such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP with a deep understanding of their ecosystems and capabilities.
- A strong drive to lead automation efforts leveraging scripting and tooling to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and a track record of implementing them effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in networking configurations including VPNs subnets and load balancing with a focus on designing secure and scalable solutions.
- Solid knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Strategic experience in capacity planning cost analysis and budgeting for cloud infrastructure enabling efficient resource utilization.
- Mentor a team fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
