RecruitNet International is inviting applications for the role of an Health care Assistant to state-of-the-art Nursing Home based in Co Cork.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.
- Ensuring that residents personal care and hygiene requirements are met to the greatest levels while always preserving their dignity.
- Assisting residents with eating and drinking in keeping with their nutrition needs.
- Helping residents use the necessary assistance and mobilize as needed.
- Escorting or transferring residents in accordance with nursing staff instructions.
- Helping with end-of-life care.
- Any other tasks that management and the nurse determine are required.
Requirements
- Qualification in QQI/FETAC OR comparable experience in a comparable setting.
- Experience working in a caring environment is preferred.
- The capacity to operate both individually and together.
- Professional considerate and sympathetic disposition.
- Be at ease working in a setting that can occasionally be difficult.
- Possess a strong command of the English language.
- The ability to work a variety of shift patterns from Monday through Sunday including evenings weekends and days.
