Job Summary
After a training period in which you get to know the products better you are responsible for purchasing parts components and technical products from qualified suppliers both domestically and abroad at the best price service and quality. You also explore new purchasing markets new suppliers and new technologies. After a positive evaluation you make these operational.
You are assigned a specific product group for which you take on the following tasks:
New Technologies: Together with R&D you monitor new technologies that provide a competitive advantage within PsiControls scope of action.
New Purchasing Channels: You look for new purchasing channels to source existing product families. After a positive evaluation you make them operational.
Evaluating Suppliers: You evaluate both existing and potential new suppliers according to PsiControls criteria (price quality logistics flexibility and technology) thereby building market and supplier knowledge.
Planning: You support the logistics department in managing escalations to resolve critical delivery issues.
Pricing: Within the agreed budgets you conduct contract discussions and achieve savings. You support sales with competitive and feasible prices during their quotation process.
Quality: You contribute to programs aimed at improving quality with suppliers.
Qualifications :
- You have good technical knowledge acquired through higher education or experience
- Stress-resistant & results-oriented
- Interest in both technical and business aspects
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Communicative also in other languages (French English)
- Assertive enough to negotiate with suppliers
- You are open to travel abroad mainly within Europe and to the Far East
- You enjoy working very comfortably with Excel
- ERP knowledge is a plus
