Job Summary

As a Handyperson youll play a vital role in keeping the hotel running smoothly. Youll assist with a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks supporting the engineering team and ensuring that guest areas back-of-house facilities and hotel equipment are safe functional and guest-ready. This role is perfect for someone with practical skills who enjoys hands-on work and wants to grow their career in hospitality maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs across guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces.
  • Support the engineering team in tasks related to plumbing carpentry painting and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff or guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out routine inspections of hotel facilities reporting issues or faults to the engineering team.
  • Help maintain tools equipment and supplies in good working order.
  • Follow WHS procedures and hotel standards at all times.

Qualifications :

What you will bring to the role:

  • Practical hands-on experience in general maintenance or repair work; hospitality experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Comfortable working across a range of tasks including minor electrical plumbing carpentry painting or mechanical work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Reliable safety-conscious and able to work under guidance from the engineering team.
  • Flexible to work both AM and PM shifts including weekends and public holidays and able to communicate effectively with colleagues.
