Security Officer (Full-time)

Hourly Rate: $28.85

What you will be doing:

• Provide security emergency and first aid assistance
• Implement as directed by the Security Manager all policies and programs related to Security Services
• Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures
• Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security
• Assist in the training of all new security officers
• Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues
• Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines. 
• Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues
• Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues and that all necessary training is provided
• Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols
• Conduct health screenings on colleagues and vendors in accordance with company and government guidelines.
• Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
• Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging personalized timely and efficient service to our discerning guests
• Focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Security law enforcement and/or loss prevention experience is an asset
• Must be able to speak read write and understand the English language.
• Requires good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority both internally and externally.

Licenses or Certificates          

• State of Hawaii Guard Card required
• CPR/First Aid Certification required
• TIPS Certification
