Job Description

  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow meeting customer expectations
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system per Operational Performance Standards (OPS)
  • Track and Trace Shipment Files daily
  • Scan and validate documents
  • Ensure documents are received and processed timely to keep cargo moving
  • Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing within Expeditors and customer requirements
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their domestic or international shipments meeting customer service standards and performance measurements
  • Communicate with service providers regularly to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments
  • Understand departmental process flows and contribute to best practice opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs. Review and update regularly
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Companys procedures
  • Timely responses to emails and voicemails to exceed customer expectations and satisfaction
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Qualifications :

  • Minimum High School diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain related topics and trends
  • Effective interpersonal skills including proven abilities to listen comprehend effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Pro-active strong organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel Word)
  • Hazardous Materials certification (preferred but not required)
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well and excel in a fast-paced environment
