Paradigm in searching for a Quality Control Technician to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by performing quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
Type: 6-month contract to hire
Location: On-site Beaverton OR

As a Quality Control Technician you will:
- Follow the weekly production and shipping schedule as directed by the supervisor or team lead
- Verify all required documentation is received before beginning work
- Review and interpret assembly drawings Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions
- Inspect SMT and through-hole assemblies in accordance with IPC-610 Class II & III standards
- Operate and program Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) and X-ray machines
- Conduct first article inspections
- Log inspection results and quality data into the company database
- Identify and communicate documentation discrepancies
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- High school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or electronics required
- Familiarity with IPC-610 standards
- Experience operating and programming AOI and X-ray machines
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to identify electronic components and part numbers
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 processes and LEAN methodologies
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) preferred
