The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels to meet production and sales requirements.
- Implement and oversee a robust inventory management system to accurately track stock movements in real-time.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and execute strategies to minimize excess inventory while maintaining sufficient stock levels to meet demand.
- Analyse and optimize the distribution process to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan for future requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Manage and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of work.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory levels stock movements and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership abilities including experience in team management and performance optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost-reduction strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is highly preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience with various material handling equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as operational needs dictate.
