Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels to meet production and sales requirements.

  • Implement and oversee a robust inventory management system to accurately track stock movements in real-time.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute strategies to minimize excess inventory while maintaining sufficient stock levels to meet demand.
  • Analyse and optimize the distribution process to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan for future requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Manage and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of work.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory levels stock movements and key performance indicators to senior management.
  • Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership abilities including experience in team management and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is highly preferred.
  • Forklift certification and experience with various material handling equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as operational needs dictate.
