Job Summary

The Assistant Reservations Manager is responsible for supporting the Reservations Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the reservations department. The role involves supervising the reservations team ensuring the highest levels of guest service and maximising room revenue through effective systems procedures and team management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Presenting a professional friendly and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times
  • Assisting in the management and development of the reservations team creating a collaborative and motivated working environment
  • Being fully conversant with all facilities and services of the hotel and ensuring the team has up-to-date knowledge to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Monitoring daily reservations activity ensuring accuracy in bookings correspondence and communication with other departments
  • Supporting the Reservations Manager in analysing business trends preparing reports and contributing to revenue management strategies
  • Assisting in staff rotas and monitoring performance to ensure adequate coverage and service standards are consistently met
  • Handling guest enquiries and resolving issues promptly to ensure a seamless booking experience
  • Ensuring departmental compliance with company standards policies and legal requirements

Qualifications :

  • Previous work experience as Events Manager in a 4 - 5 star hotel
  • Excellent communication presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Proven commercial acumen through previous roles
  • Fluent in English - spoken & written
  • Must be legally eligible to work in UK
