As Communications Manager youll help deliver strategic PR initiatives that promote our investment capabilities and support our reputation. What youll be doing:
- Supporting the Head of Institutional Retirement communications with developing and implementing PR strategies that promote L&Gs activities on institutional retirement and productive finance. This includes working with business teams to understand business goals and crafting narrative and communications that deliver impactful communications. It also includes identifying proactive media opportunities and draft and distribute press releases thought leadership articles and executive communications to support business goals
- Working with the business to identify reputational risks lead on developing media plans to mitigate reputational issues and lead with crisis communications issues
- Building and maintaining relationships with relevant journalists and publications
- Monitoring and measuring media engagement to inform and guide media activity and implement metrics models to measure and report on effectiveness of external communications activities
- Working with the Head of institutional retirement communications to ensure effective day to day management of the UK PR agencies
- Working in partnership with marketing public affairs and investor relations to ensure messaging is aligned and work in partnership with asset management communications colleagues on productive finance communications
- Supporting media budget management and proper archiving of PR materials. Maintain the External Communications teams processes and documentation to ensure timely compliant communications. Uphold governance compliance and risk frameworks to align decisions with business ethics values and stakeholder expectations
- Ensuring communications are reviewed and approved by individuals who have the appropriate knowledge skills and expertise and that such approval is recorded
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Knowledge of external communications campaigns PR approaches and media relations practices and tactics.
- Understanding of UK asset management finance or investment industry.
- Knowledge of business and finance media landscape including journalists
- 5 years of experience in asset management or financial services PR.
- Experience in developing and executing PR strategies and campaigns for high-profile organizations.
- Relationships with key media contacts.
- Team player with a strong work ethic who takes a collaborative and joined-up approach to tasks but is also comfortable working independently.
- Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise effectively multi-task quickly and efficiently adapt to new situations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing editing and verbal communication skills
- Experience with crisis communications and reputation management.
- Experience mentoring colleagues
- The ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
