Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing regular feedback and setting achievable learning targets.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
  • Maintain a positive safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in staff meetings professional development and school initiatives.

Year 2 Teacher Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1 in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Commitment to professional development and collaborative teaching.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a team environment.
