Job Summary

Functional Description: 

The Methods Engineering department plays a critical role in ensuring efficient processing of critical items to the Formula one car. This is done through skilled engineers developing new methodologies to deliver the performance to the car. With a focus on right first time and quality working with our design team operations and the race team to achieve our shared goals. 

 

Methods/TPP Industrial Placement 

Join our Methods Engineering team to help develop and implement efficient processes for delivering performance-critical components to the Formula 1 car. Youll work closely with design operations and race teams to drive improvements in build quality speed and reliability. This hands-on role offers exposure to technical problem-solving project delivery and innovation in a high-performance motorsport environment. 

 

Shape the Future 

  • Support the development of new methodologies that improve build efficiency and quality. 

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure right-first-time delivery of assemblies to the track. 

  • Contribute to technology and process enhancements that align with team performance goals. 

  • Help shape how Williams Racing delivers precision and speed in a competitive environment. 

 

Make Real Impact 

  • Assist and lead projects that improve operational efficiency and delivery timelines. 

  • Perform daily tasks to ensure metrics are available to drive decision-making. 

  • Communicate regularly with engineers and project managers to meet technical requirements. 

  • Be part of a team driving development and innovation across the business. 

 


Qualifications :

Find Your Place 

  • Studying or with a strong background in mechanical or automotive engineeringdesign or manufacturing focused. 

  • Able to read technical drawings and interpret data clearly and effectively. 

  • Familiar with CAD software and basic manufacturing principles. 

  • Strong problem-solving communication and attention to detail in a collaborative team environment. 

  • Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects is highly desirable.
