Functional Header Description:  

The Operations Office is responsible for the programme management manufacture and delivery of our Formula 1 cars to our customer the Race Team. The functional departments within the Operations team work together to ensure that car components are manufactured/supplied to the right specification quality and delivered on time to be transported to the Race Team. 

Direct Procurement Industrial Placement   

As a Direct Procurement Placement youll play a hands-on role in sourcing high-quality components and services that directly contribute to race car performance. Youll support the coordination of car parts and services ensuring timely delivery and value for money. This includes managing a small portfolio of suppliers assisting with procurement databases supplier communications and compliance tasks. This role is ideal for engineering students with strong communication and problem-solving skills and a passion for motorsport.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align procurement operations with performance goals. 

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes tools and systems. 

• Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies helping shape a responsive and efficient supply chain. 

Make Real Impact 

• Manage a small portfolio of suppliers ensuring timely delivery and value for money. 

• Assist with procurement tasks including BOM creation inventory reporting and compliance activities. 

• Coordinate meetings maintain procurement databases and support supplier communications. 

• Apply your technical understanding to support the manufacture of prototype parts and services. 

Qualifications :

Find Your Place 

• Bring a background in mechanical or automotive engineering or a strong interest and passion in these areas if not studied formally. 

• Be comfortable with or willing to learn technical drawing interpretation to support procurement accuracy. 

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment. 

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing principles is beneficial. 

• Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects is highly desirable.
