About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled CAD Designer with experience in Catia V5 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing environments preferably within the automotive sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects designing high-quality components and assemblies for cutting-edge vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models technical drawings and assemblies using Catia V5
- Develop designs that align with manufacturing capabilities and constraints
- Collaborate with engineering production and quality teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
- Conduct design modifications and optimizations to improve product performance
- Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain documentation and version control for all design files
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CAD Designer using Catia V5
Background in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Understanding of materials fabrication and assembly processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills:
Experience with PLM systems (e.g. ENOVIA Teamcenter)
Knowledge of automotive industry standards & regulations
Understanding of FEA and simulation tools
Additional Information :
- 3 week initial contract - further work expected
- Location: Gaydon (Onsite)
- 5 days onsite
