Position Overview
In your role of selling Capital Goods and After-Market products you will focus on building new customer relationships and further strengthen existing ones as the go-to person for contract development and the roll out of the systems that are sold.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with the customer to develop a long and well-developed relationship in selling Capital Goods and After-Market products
Utilize your keen sales ability to market the proper product mix for our customers needs
Maintain communication with fellow DeLaval team members during developing the proposal and installation of systems
Submit weekly sales reporting
Deliver customer training on both the commercial and technical aspects of our products
Responsible for communicating effectively with customers both in person on the farm and other communication channels
Offer key input in product development
Prepare plans and lead efforts to develop sales programs
Develop and maintain value-added services
Skills and Abilities
Highly skilled in communicating effectively
Competitive in nature strong sense of urgency and follow through
Well-developed relationship building skills and technically oriented
Requirements
5 years of sales and relationship-building experience in an agricultural related product area/environment
A Bachelors degree in technical agricultural veterinary chemistry or other relevant area is preferred
Ability to be in the field 50% to meet with customers predominately in southern to mid Michigan
