Required Qualifications: | - Masters degree from accredited college or university

- Licensed by the State of Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board as a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) Licensed Masters Addiction Counselor (LMAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC)
- QMHP Licensed by the State of Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board as a LMSW LPC LCP LMFT LCPC LSCSW LCMFT

| Position Summary: | Counsel and aid individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems such as alcohol or drug abuse and mental health concerns by performing the following duties. | Essential Job Functions: | - Interview patients review records and confer with other professionals to evaluate condition of patients
- Formulate treatment plan for treatment and rehabilitation of patients
- Counsel patients individually and in group sessions to assist patients in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency
- Counsel family members to assist family in dealing with and providing support for patients
- Counsel family members individually or in group sessions regarding the impact of alcohol/drug dependency in their lives
- Address mental health issues during individual session
- Work with medication providers to ensure client medications needs are properly being addressed
- Participate in utilization review activities as required
- Counsel patients/family members in crisis as needed
- Maintain contact on regular basis with referral sources
- Maintain patients files in a site visit ready manner at all times
- Develop discharge/transition plans and complete discharge summaries
- Refer patients to other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment social services and employment services
- Monitor condition of patients to evaluate success of therapy and adapt treatment as needed
- Prepare and maintain reports and case histories
- Formulate and conduct programs to promote prevention of alcohol and drug abuse
- Understand and implement all TAP 21 Addiction Counseling Competencies
- Comply with all policies and procedures related to clinical licensure
- To take On-Call on a rotating basis
