Job Description
PetroApp is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance this role you will be responsible for managing various accounting functions ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
You will prepare financial statements perform reconciliations and assist in the month-end close process. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analyze variances to inform management.
- Participate in the month-end close process and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support the internal and external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 3:5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in the SaaS sector is a plus.
