Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in East Gwillimbury Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring smooth operations in our fast-paced food service environment.
- Clean and sanitize dishes utensils glassware and kitchen equipment using manual and machine washing methods
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area including floors work surfaces and storage areas
- Properly store clean dishes utensils and kitchen equipment
- Empty and clean garbage containers transporting waste to designated areas
- Assist in basic food prep tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient workspace
- Report any damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support fellow staff members
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar dishwashing or kitchen support role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and kitchen tools safely and efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in food service
- Customer-focused mindset and willingness to assist others as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
