- Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:30 AM 3 shifts per week (11.5 hrs each)
- Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:30 PM 3 shifts per week (11.5 hrs each)
Hours:34.537.5 hours per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team on a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in neuro intensive care strong critical thinking abilities and the ability to deliver high-quality compassionate care in a fast-paced acute setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients.
Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions such as traumatic brain injury stroke intracranial hemorrhage and post-operative neurosurgical cases.
Administer medications manage ventilators and operate advanced monitoring equipment.
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
Adhere to hospital standards policies and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required).
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU preferred.
BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
Contract Length:3 months (with possible extension).
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM 3 shifts per week (nights).
Hours per Week: 34.537.5.
