A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A NEW GOODS PROCESSOR
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the department by pricing purchased merchandise determining the highest quality to be sold in retail stores according to each respective processing procedures. Fulfill and distribute new goods for retails stores to support their achievement of new goods sales and reduction of shrink. Inspect textiles furniture appliances small household wares etc. to determine sale ability. Maintain daily processing quotas and use the internet to research pricing. Utilize Point of Sale software for receiving tracking and distributing new goods.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NEW GOODS PROCESSOR
- Computer proficiency including typing web navigation online search engines Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to use a barcode scanner.
- Lift and move up to 30 pounds unassisted
