JOB DESCRIPTION
The Wofford College Department of Music invites applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates to serve as adjunct instructors.
Opportunities may include applied instruction in voice or instruments or classroom teaching in music theory music appreciation or other departmental courses. Our current needs include applied instructors in brass and percussion as well as an instructor for class piano. The music program at Wofford is in an exciting phase of growth with strong support from faculty and administration for its continued development and expansion. Instructors will be contacted as openings arise.
EXPECTATIONS
Adjunct instructors at Wofford College work with undergraduate students in applied or classroom settings. All instruction is conducted in person on the Wofford campus. Specific teaching assignments and responsibilities will vary depending on student enrollment and departmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
A masters degree in music (MM MA or equivalent) is required.
Demonstrated excellence as both a performer and teacher.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
College-level teaching experience is preferred.
