Ansell is looking for a Assoc Director Global Category Management - Chemical PPE to join our team in Cyberjaya!
In this position you will play a vital role in leading the strategic management of assigned chemical product categories driving portfolio growth lifecycle optimization and new product development. Acting as the technical market and regulatory expert the GCM collaborates cross-functionally to execute customer-focused initiatives ensure global compliance and support after-sales services. This role also champions key growth brandsespecially the Alphatec portfolioand serves as the primary global representative for all product-related matters within their category.

What your role will be
You will be:
- Supports the development of the category management strategy including overall product development priorities product positioning in line w/customers willingness to pay and vs. the competitive set and has overall responsibility for portfolio sales profit and competitiveness.
- Leads and actively drives the overall product lifecycle of the assigned product range / portfolio recommends and ensures execution of improvement / rationalization initiatives of existing products to increase sales and/or profitability and overall operational efficiency.
- Monitors and acts upon sales and field reports pricing levels and competition pertaining to responsible product area. Works in conjunction with regional organizations in particular with Regional Category Management and with operations to deliver agreed levels of revenue margins and overall market share.
- Responsible for the Global marketing plans (including budgeting) of his / her product range and ensures product positioning strategies and tactics maximize top line and margins
- In support of Vertical efforts and New Product Development provides guidance / support in the definition development introduction and positioning of new products and ensures the NPD initiatives are in line with the portfolio strategy
- Initiates NPD initiatives and provides direct-report supervision coaching and strategic oversight of the NPD project leader ensuring all technical and regulatory initiatives are adhered to
- Ensures all aspects of the NPD process are being actioned to support the portfolio strategy and business competitive needs including:
- Product opportunity identification business case formulation stage-gate approvals concept development VOC concept trials
- Formal development VOC validation
- Commercialization ramp manufacturing validation product MDM setup artwork technical/regulatory certifications
- Marketing/campaign launch preparation pricing regional launch coordination and training
- S&OP planning during first 12 months after launch
- Working with Global Operations provides expertise and leadership to ensure complete and accurate product specifications operational efficiency and optimization.
- In conjunction with R&D Sourcing and Regional Technical Services develops and maintains a benchmarking intelligence on key competitors (capacity pricing & product performance) for the assigned product range/portfolio and will assume a leadership role in spearheading critical technical regulatory and quality assurance initiatives within their designated category and segment.
- Contributes to the development management and improvement of product specifications quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations and company quality standards
- Actively participates in Sales and Operations Planning efforts pertaining to NPD and NPS.
- Registering and working with the Legal teams to apply or TM or IP for NPD
- Lead manage develop a team of GCM and Technical support
What will you bring to Ansell - Bachelors Degree in Marketing or equivalent
- 7 years of experience in Sales and Marketing Category Management
- Demonstrated Product/ Category Management Success in B2C B2B environments.
Experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional teams
- Project Management and NPD experience is required
- PPE or Health & Safety Knowledge desirable
- Business acumen Customer oriented and strong entrepreneurial spirit
