Position Overview

This position is primarily responsible for the collection and analysis of financial and operational data that will enable district staff to better evaluate the use of its resources and its operation efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains existing reporting systems to ensure timely and accurate reporting of budgetary information.
  • Monitors and analyzes resource utilization information to project future spending and identify problem areas.
  • Assists in the preparation of resource studies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Assists in the evaluation of program budget submittals by collecting and analyzing budgetary information.
  • Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelors degree majoring in accounting business administration or a field applicable to the position OR completion of two years of college PLUS one year of experience in public or business administration or accounting activities OR five years of experience in public or business administration or accounting activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of governmental operations and/or public finance.
  • Ability to apply statistical analytical procedures and techniques in problem-solving.
  • Experience working with budgets and preparing accurate concise and detailed reports
  • Experience with various computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and various financial software applications.
