Position Description

The University of Mississippis Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2026.

The Department has a need for an economist who specializes in Law and Economics and who can teach at both the graduate and the undergraduate levels. The candidate will be expected to contribute to our undergraduate emphasis in Law and Economics and our 33 program with the law school. The ability to teach Public Choice at the graduate level is a plus but not required.

Assignment Type: Tenure Track

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. completed by August 2026 is expected.
