Job Title: 3rd Shift Paint Prep
Department: Paint (240)
Reports To: 3rd Shift Foreman and indirectly to the Paint Supervisor
Start Date: Immediately
Qualifications
- Positive attitude with emotional intelligence
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
- Ability to solve problems quickly and adapt as needed
- Driven to improve processes and efficiencies
- Able to stand stoop squat kneel climb push or pull for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Detail-oriented with the ability to process orders accurately
- Able to read comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions
- Time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to operate a forklift and obtain Harper certifications
- Experience with repetitive motions and physical demands
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
Responsibilities
- Apply proper paint thickness for quality finish
- Prime paint and Gatorhyde in the paint booth
- Clean and maintain paint guns daily
- Assist with routine filter changes
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Blow off paint carts prior to painting
- Prep and Gatorhyde flatbeds
- Maintain duties in the paint kitchen
- Wash carts in the wash bay
- Load and unload parts on paint carts
- Prepare parts and whole goods for paint
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule & Compensation
- 40 hour work week
- Overtime requires supervisor pre-approval
- Some Saturday work required
