Job Description

Best Line Equipment is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to work in our State College Business office. The Human Resources Assistant position is a full-time on-site position. The wage for this position ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience and requires a standard commitment of 40 hours per week.

Role Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant provides vital support to the Human Resources Office by overseeing daily HR functions. Key responsibilities include recruitment onboarding employee relations benefits administration and ensuring compliance with HR policies and relevant legislation. This role demands strong administrative and time management skills a high level of confidentiality and a thorough understanding of HR procedures and laws. This office-based position involves frequent sitting or standing handling office equipment and regular communication with staff. Occasional travel may be required and candidates must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding Support: The assistant is actively involved in the hiring process by participating in new hire orientations attending career fairs posting job openings and managing background checks and employment testing.
  • Employee Relations and Documentation: Responsibilities include explaining policies and benefits to employees addressing employee inquiries maintaining personnel records and assisting with benefits enrollment.
  • Administrative and Reporting Duties: The position entails performing data entry maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information preparing reports and ensuring compliance with government regulations such as ERISA FMLA HIPAA and ACA.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Applicants must have at least two years of experience in human resources to qualify for this role.
  • Work Site: The position is based at the Business Office in State College PA.
