Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
Assists a production team to efficiently process work in accordance with a production plan and to promote and deliver high quality output. Works with Operations Management to execute in accordance a system of manufacturing standards and follow company policies and procedures. Encourages team members to drive continual improvement in their production area using various tool sets. Act as the point of contact for questions in their assigned production area.
Essential Functions:
Closely directs team members and reports to a supervisor.
Completes daily task i.e. monitoring shift output moving team members to successfully meet daily output goals and communicating with stakeholders.
Provide detailed instructions to team members and works collaboratively with supervisor and area engineer.
Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve directing team members or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Clearly communicate goals and expectations to team members. Relays information to team members and supervisors.
Work consists of tasks that are routine and dynamic. Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
Follows established processes to complete tasks. Handles routine matters. Escalates issues to supervisor as needed.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior experience 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to multitask
Ability to use inspection equipment
Ability to use data and SPC for use in decision making
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Must be familiar with Lean and 5S methodologies
