Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller for a distinguished food and beverage consultancy based in the Western Cape. This key position requires a financially astute professional with a solid background in hospitality and retail including hotels and restaurants. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting or a related field (CIMA CA(SA) or equivalent preferred)
5 years of financial management or controlling experience
Essential: Previous experience in hospitality hotels restaurants or related industries
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
In-depth knowledge of business financials taxation and labour regulations
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Proven ability to manage teams and establish effective financial systems
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all financial operations across the consultancy and its projects
Prepare monitor and maintain financial reports budgets and forecasts
Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT UIF and other statutory requirements
Manage payroll processes in line with labour laws
Oversee creditors debtors and invoicing functions
Implement and monitor robust internal controls and financial procedures
Conduct cash flow management and cost analysis to support efficiency
Present management accounts and financial insights to stakeholders
Liaise with auditors tax consultants and regulatory bodies
Support senior leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making
