Key responsibilities include preparing and cleaning jewellery ensuring quality standards working with a high degree of attention to detail and adhering to health and safety procedures to protect both themselves and delicate high-value items.
Key Responsibilities
Polishing and Cleaning: Use polishing wheels buffs brushes and compounds to pre-polish and give a final high-lustre finish to jewellery pieces.
Ultrasonic Cleaning: Clean jewellery using ultrasonic cleaners and steamers.
Inspection: Inspect jewellery for flaws damage or scratches before and after polishing and cleaning.
Quality Control: Ensure each piece meets the companys quality and finish standards before being passed on to the next stage.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on polishing and cleaning equipment and keep the workstation clean and organized.
Collaboration: Work closely with jewellers setters and quality control teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
Safety: Adhere to health safety and security procedures including proper handling of chemicals and operating machinery.
