We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems. Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure audiovisual equipment including displays projectors sound systems and video conferencing systems.
- Ensure proper cable management and integration of AV components.
Testing and Calibration:
- Conduct testing and calibration of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to audio video or control systems.
On-site Support:
- Provide on-site support during events meetings and conferences to ensure smooth operation of AV equipment.
- Assist users with the setup and operation of AV systems.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of AV systems to identify and address potential issues.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of AV system configurations installations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Create user guides and training materials for end-users.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with AV engineers programmers and project managers to contribute to the successful execution of projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients and end-users to understand their AV requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as an AV Technician or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of audiovisual equipment cabling and signal flow.
- Familiarity with AV control systems and basic programming concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry certifications such as InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) are advantageous.
- Experience with video conferencing solutions (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams).
- Familiarity with various AV software and diagnostic tools.
