Job Summary: Nalanda Vidya Niketan is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Western Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Western dance styles and a passion for teaching students at different skill levels. As a Western Dance Teacher you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging dance lessons preparing students for performances and competitions and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive Western dance curriculum for students of varying ages and skill levels.
  
• Teach a variety of Western dance styles including but not limited to hip hop jazz contemporary and street dance.
  
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity teamwork and discipline.
  
• Develop and conduct dance routines for school performances competitions and special events.
  
• Provide individualized feedback and coaching to help students improve their dance skills and reach their full potential.
  
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to coordinate dance-related activities and events.
  
• Maintain a safe and organized dance studio environment ensuring compliance with school policies and safety regulations.
  
• Keep records of student attendance progress and achievements.
  
• Stay updated on current trends and techniques in Western dance to continuously improve teaching methods.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Dance Performing Arts or a related field or equivalent experience.
  
• Proven experience as a Western Dance Teacher or Dance Instructor.
  
• Proficiency in multiple Western dance styles with the ability to teach a variety of genres.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
  

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience in choreographing and directing dance performances.
  
• Knowledge of child development and educational psychology.
  
• Certifications in dance instruction or teaching methods.
  
• Experience in competitive dance coaching or judging.
