Location: Various locations across Alberta

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications managing inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels of medications and supplies.
  • Assist patients in locating over-the-counter products and provide basic medication information.
  • Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician program from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for patient interaction.
