Front of House Manager
Location: Mpumalanga

Salary: Competitive annual salary (in Rand - R)
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
- Manage staff scheduling training and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service delivery and resolution of any guest issues.
- Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere to enhance guest satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor and manage the budget for front-of-house operations optimizing costs while ensuring quality service.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations.
- Handle guest inquiries complaints and feedback ensuring prompt resolution to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations and updates about events or operational changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events promotions and activities designed to attract and engage guests.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Solid understanding of hospitality operations and front-of-house best practices.
- Proficient in using reservation and POS systems.
Desired Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of managing front-of-house operations in a high-volume establishment.
- Experience in staff training and development with knowledge of best practices in customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
